What I Wear: Easy Fall

PHOTO1I am not the kind of person that looks forward to fall. I mean, variety is the spice of life and all that, but give me a 85 degree day and sunny sky. I grew up in the hot south and I am OK with being hot virtually all the time, that’s just my temperature. I love cut offs, I love tank tops, heck(!) I love swimsuits. So I really hate when the temps start changing and its time to pull out the sweaters.

The only good thing about fall is the leather jackets. I repeat, the leather jackets!!!

So this is my post bidding a fond farewell to cutoffs and transitioning my wardrobe to a slightly more fall orienting situation. [SIGH]

SAMSUNG CSC Processed with VSCOcam with e1 preset I’m OK, with a peekaboo bra situation so long as it’s a pretty one. Like the one making an appearance here. SAMSUNG CSC Processed with VSCOcam with e1 preset I’ve always had great luck finding good, comfy, and most importantly reasonably priced flannel shirts at Urban Outfitters. SAMSUNG CSC Processed with VSCOcam with e1 preset I always layer a few necklaces. These are K/LLER and Madewell. Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset Mixing a higher end piece like a bag [this one is Lanvin] with more casual pieces always makes the overall look more interesting. Now these shorts are pretty short, but when you’re pairing them with a long sleeved layer on top, it all balances out. (Photos by Carley Dean and Beth Arcement.)

The plaid shirt (mine is last year from Zara) but here are some options:

Love this Current/Elliott one:

The bag…(it’s actually my mom’s.)

The cut-offs. One Teaspoon.
