On the heels of her simultaneous three-song premiere on SiriusXM’s The Highway Finds, singer/songwriter Kelleigh Bannen brings “Happy Birthday” to CMT’s “Hot 20 Countdown.”

The music video for Bannen’s “Happy Birthday,” which Rolling Stone describes as “a somber, acoustic guitar-driven confessional about those who aren’t so easy to erase, centered around [Bannen’s] nuanced, emotional delivery,” will make its worldwide television premiere on October 13 and 14.

“There’s something about birthdays that are so nostalgic… even if it’s just in a 'I wonder how they’re doing' kind of way. The details of this song are really personal, and I think that is why this song has connected with so many people. It’s just a really truthful song," says Bannen, who co-wrote “Happy Birthday” with Claire Douglas and Dallas Wilson.

In addition to “Happy Birthday,” Bannen recently released “John Who” and “The Joneses,” completing the three-song EP which Sounds Like Nashville called “fearless” and Rolling Stone declares all three “showcase the Nashvillian’s soulful vocal edge and ability to spin sugary pop hooks one moment and a tender, tear-jerking ballad the next.”

The artist that AXS calls “Nashville’s most underrated singer-songwriter” will also perform on CMT’s Next Women of Country Live on CMT.com and CMT social platforms on October 8 prior to the music video premiere. Bannen is an alumna of the Next Women of Country Class of 2014, which also included Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Lauren Alaina and Sheryl Crow.

In addition to writing and recording music, Bannen has also made a name for herself as the creator and host of popular podcast, “This Nashville Life,” where she has featured a wide variety of guests including label executives, hit songwriters and other industry creatives to show fans the good, the bad and the beautiful of the music business. With two seasons already live and available for download, Bannen is set to release Season 3 of “This Nashville Life” on October 2.

Fans can see Bannen performing at 4th Street Live in Louisville, Kentucky on October 17 with new tour dates announced this fall. For more information, visit kelleighbannen.com or follow her on FacebookInstagram and Twitter @kelleighbannen.
