One of the HIGHLIGHTS of my summer was getting to do some mini make-overs on 4 country music fans during CMAfest. Boot Barn (which has a really cool storefront along an historic stretch of Broadway in downtown Nashville) and I dreamed up the idea of doing festival fashion makeovers with two fans (and their guests)–and we turned it into a contest. I met with our winners downtown before the day’s festivities on Friday of CMAfest. We talked with them about their style and what they love, did a little bit of glam with makeup artist Brenna Mader (on the girls), and then I performed a mini concert for them in the store. It turned out to be such a cool, sweet group of people, and we had a great time decking them out head to toe before they went on to the day’s shows.
Here’s some of what we came up with:
Ashley in a lace romper, headband, boots.
LOVING these bangles on Ashley.
Austin in a great graphic t-shirt (which I thought was FABULOUS on him in that color.) What a gorgeous couple.
I’m totally into bandanas right now. They’re so versatile. Wear them as a scarf, wear them as a headband….
LOVED this red lip on Kalyn. And lashes forever….
Romper, bolo, red boots. Red boots are wayyyyyyy more versatile than you would think. Great pop of color and they kinda go with everything.
Let’s talk about how great Brittney’s dimples are for a sec….🙌🏼
Headband, JACK DANIELS LABEL TANK (!!).
Taylor, the hostest with the mostest.
Romper…how cute is the back?!
Ashley, Austin, Brittney & Kalyn–y’all were a blast. Thanks for loving country music and for hanging out with me in Nashville!
Sadly, summer is definitely winding down, but there are still a handful of festivals left before it’s officially fall. This weekend in Montana is the Rockin The Rivers Fest–the location looks pretty amazing. Anybody up for a road trip?
Huge thanks to Brenna Mader on the glam front, and to Mikaela Hamilton for shooting all the photos…you gals killed it.
